Yummy in my Tummy

Yesterday I made these:

And today I had them for lunch. And I'd like to have them for dinner too!
My Omi used to make these when I was young and they were one of my most favourite things that she made. Along with Napoleon Torte. Now she never did have a recipe (that I was aware of) and she made hers look like pockets, with the pinched part up instead of underneath. But the idea is the same and the only change I made was that I added peas. For several reasons.
1. I like peas
2. That's what she did
3. You don't mess with the Omi
4. When in doubt always refer to #3.
I steamed some broccoli, made cheese sauce and called it dinner. B really liked them and the boys thought they were a bit like presents and wondered how I got the meat inside. Ethan informed me that they weren't his favourite but he thought they were kinda cool. It was a lovely rib-sticking, comforting, winter kind of meal.

mmm .. look interesting. Omi would be proud. Ethan would rather they be stuffed with chocolate..

I've made those. They are most yummy dipped in ketchup too!

Amazingly, I've never had those. They look scrumptious. Speaking of Napoleon Torte, I made one just today!

OH so fun! I love #3 and #4.
Funny, we add peas to taco's ...you might like that.

Nice! I made some just last week! I used to make them in high school and sell them to the teachers by the dozen. I don't think I've made them since.

my mom used to make a ton of these and freeze them, then pop them into our lunches for school. they were just thawed out by lunchtime and so yummy.
