This makes my heart very happy.
And by snow I mean everything is white. There's over a foot on all the roof tops and fence lines. And our street doesn't get plowed.
And there's enough to make a giant snowman and a snow fort, and those have lasted 5 days too! Glorious!
The kids did have school Monday but not yesterday so, of course, we went sledding!

The view from the top of the hill was stunning.
And the trees. The trees get me every time.
Now the wind is blowing and it is very frigid! Not as cold as some places but -12 is unusually cold for our usually balmy coast. Not that I'm complaining, as long as I don't have to be out in it for too long. Brr! Finally winter's come. Now I am complete.

Its been BEAUTIFUL! Something so peaceful about snow in the nighttime and early morning.. love it.. glad the kids have had fun.

Just spent a few minutes reading through your latest blog posts. It seems we share a few favorite things, but what got me were the fleisch perishky and napolean torte. My Mom is no longer making these treats but I have lovely memories of them. I commend you for not letting these food traditions and memories go with our grandparents and parents. You have inspired me to try and make some of the things that my Mom used to make. May have to ask you for the recipe. :)
