This pictures has nothing really to do with Christmas, but I love a good frost and it feels more Christmasy than the stormy, icky weather we did have.
We had our family gift opening Christmas eve and it was really nice. I love Christmas eve. It's always so quiet and reverent. So we had music playing and the boys opened their gifts, and even though B and I decided we weren't going to do presents for each other this year, there were things under the tree for me. Like a calendar, spa gift card and a beautiful watch. I felt spoiled! Especially as there was supposed to be nothing!
I had made pizza crust in the morning so all that was left was to top them and put them in the oven. Not a very Christmasy meal but one that everyone enjoys.
Ethan wanted to write a letter to Santa and this is what he wrote without any prompts from me:
Hopefully you can read it if you enlarge it. It's quite funny. There's no pulling the wool over this boy's eyes I tell you. A lawyer in the making.
One of their favourite gifts. Camo and night vision. Too funny.
The next morning we were woken up just after 7, which is rather reasonable for Christmas morning. I put on the coffee and got the cinnamon buns rolled and rising (yay for timers on bread machines!) and the boys opened their stockings and gifts from Santy Claus. After eating we got ready to head to B's parent's place where there we opened gifts with them and ate delicious food all day long. We did venture out for a windy walk which was invigorating and made it possible to come back to eat even more and drink the fantastic coffees that our BIL was whipping up. A fantastic day from start to finish.

Merry Christmas to you all!
you didn't mention the 94 year old with the nerf gun. That was the best
I love the note to Santa! I miss those days of my kids doing the same.
